At the young age of 9 years old, on a 9 hole golf course in Baker City, Oregon, Kathy Jensen hit her first golf ball and never looked back! It was then, during her high school summer at Billy Casper Golf Camp in San Diego, CA where her passion for teaching ignited. Kathy has received the “Billy Casper Award” 3 consecutive years and earned a golf scholarship from Oregon State University. After college, she became a PGA & LPGA Club Golf Professional under legendary Mr. Joe Durgan and has been a PGA Class A Golf Professional since 1990.
Kathy has received the 2014 PGA National Teacher of the Year Award, being the first woman in PGA History, first from the PNWPGA Section (1 out of 28,000 PGA members nationally)!
In the video below Kathy directs her attention to the PnP Golf RAKE Sand Wedge. Kathy insists that her golf students use the RAKE Sand Wedge when they find themselves stranded in a bunker.
Kathy has seen huge improvements in their game, as well as her own. And gives us a glimpse into how and why the RAKE Sand Wedge is a perfect club for helping one out of Sandy situation.

I’ve been playing golf for around 30 years, but have only bothered with a handicap and playing club competition golf in the last 10 years.
